Cat Fight!

Two posts on this blog in two days?! What is happening?! Don't get used to it. I won't always have content to post.

I have been wanting to publish my Beanie Baby pictures for quite some time, and I finally have had some time to get it done, so here's the next batch. I did two "Stories" while I was shooting my Beanie Baby Project, and this is the second one.

A Deadly Showdown

On my main blog I have blogged about my BEANIE BABY PROJECT, and I even featured these photos in a GALLERY, but I still wanted to show off some bigger versions here on my photo blog.

More pictures from the Beanie Baby Project coming soon! :)

Dwarf Seahorses

Seahorses are my favorite fish. I am also way into minimalism. Therefore, I think Dwarf Seahorses were created just for me. :)

They are, without a doubt, the cutest fish the world has ever seen. I want one. Or several hundred. :D

Swallows

I know it's been months since I posted here. Hopefully I'll do better about updating this blog in the future, but for now I have one picture that I wanted to share. I snapped this just by chance, I didn't set out to take it, and I wasn't even using my fancy camera. It turned out so well, I thought it worthy of it's own post.

Paperweight

As readers of my other blog know, I recently got a Mac computer, which is not compatible with my current blogging program, Windows Live Writer. This is pretty much an endless source of frustration for me, and to mix that frustration with the fact that I have a lot of school work to focus on, my blogs have suffered. Especially this one. I have only made two posts here since the beginning of the year. It will not always be that way, and hopefully one day someone will come out with a good program for Mac that can do all the same things that Live Writer does. Until then, I am going to try to make the online blogging service work for me. I probably will not have much success, and I'll resort to using my PC for blogging here, as I still do for my other blog.

So for my post today, I am using some experimental pictures that I made during a class project, of a paperweight with a jellyfish inside. I'm pretty sure the jellyfish is glass, but it could be real. Either way, I think it's very cool.

For anyone curious as to how I made these pictures, here is a before and after shot showing the inside of the light tent, and after I had cleaned it up in Photoshop.

I am still not able to get the sizes just right, so I will keep exploring my options. As it looks now blogging will be a much longer process than it has been. I hope to get some new content up soon, but that all depends on school for now. This semester is very busy.

White

Zoo 094

Zoo 093

Zoo 092

Every time I visit the Nocturnal exhibit at the zoo I try to get a good picture of their rare white alligator. So far I have never succeeded. Mainly because it’s always almost pitch black. This month my photography club had the chance to go down and walk through the exhibits before the zoo opened, while all the lights were still on. I got my pictures. :)

If you’d like to read about my visit to the Kingdoms of the Night and see some pictures you can click HERE.

Giraffes

I figured I needed to start this year off right, and what better subject for the very first post of the year on this blog than my favorite animal. :)

Since getting my zoo membership, I have so many pictures that I’ve taken at the zoo over the course of 2011. Some exhibits I ended up visiting more than others. A few places I only visited a couple times, (Sorry Jungle! I’ll see you Saturday!) but the one place I ALWAYS went to, without fail, was the giraffes.

No visit to the zoo would have been complete if I didn’t stop there, even for just a few minutes. Though it was never just a few :)

Zoo8 984

For this post I’ve gone back through all my pictures from the past year and tried to find a few of my favorite giraffe pictures that had yet to be published.

That wasn’t hard, they’re ALL my favorites. :)

Yes, even these ones. :)

Giraffes are the most beautiful animal in the world. No matter what kind of a weird face they happen to be making. :)

Here’s to 2012 and many more pictures of giraffes! :D
